own on his aching flesh. His hands lifted slowly to settle on the wiry body that pressed against his own as Nicolas leaned over him.
He kept his touch light, letting his desire come through their kiss rather than through his touch. When he was sure Nicolas would not pull away, when he had joined his lover in the big bed in the next room, then he would give free rein to his desire and learn the firm contours of his lover’s form.
The heat of Philip’s skin burned away what little remained of Nicolas’s inhibitions. He worked the blacksmith’s erection with easy confidence, his hand moving with the effortless assurance of an experienced lover, bringing all his expertise to bear, wanting to feel the younger man’s release.
Perhaps if Nicolas had been hesitant or fumbling, Philip might have held back, might have drawn out the encounter, but Nicolas’s fist touched him exactly the right way, stroking firmly, smoothly, with a little twist of his wrist at the head, designed to rub his foreskin against the sensitive frenulum. Throwing his head back, he came hard, his seed coating Nicolas’s hand and soaking into the trousers and shirt he had not dared to remove earlier.
Gasping Nicolas’s name as the aftershocks continued to
rock him, Philip reached for the buttons on the overseer’s shirt, knowing instinctively that if he let Nicolas get away, his seduction would be even more difficult. “Let me return the pleasure you gave me,” he murmured.
Philip’s words startled Nicolas into pulling away, his head shaking in automatic denial. “No,” he said again, “I can’t.”
Before Philip could protest, Nicolas had retreated into his bedroom again, the door shutting firmly behind him.
“Fuck!” Philip muttered, his body replete, his mind
completely unsatisfied. Yes, Nicolas had gotten him off, but that was not what he had wanted, or rather, not all he had wanted. Still, he knew now that he could break down the overseer’s defenses, could get past his hesitations. The trick would be to do so in such a way that he stayed in control so that Nicolas could not run from him. Pondering that, he pulled off his soiled clothes, changing into 128 ARIEL TACHNA his nightshirt and setting up his cot for the night. He would sleep on it and see what he came up with in the morning.
In the other room, Nicolas leaned against the door, his body clamoring for him to return to Philip’s side, to let the blacksmith make good on his offer. He ached with unspent passion, his pulse throbbing unbearably in his cock, in his heart. He had broken, had given in to temptation, but he could not let it continue. Philip was not looking for a relationship. If he were, he would never have approached Nicolas the way he had. And Nicolas had no place in his life for a summer fling.
Lifting his hand to his face, inhaling the blacksmith’s musky scent, he groaned, the smell only adding to his arousal.
Resistance faltering, his tongue flicked out and tasted the cooling cream.
